Last updated: September 2026
1. General
Fabware GmbH (hereinafter “Fabware”) operates the websites fabware.com and fabware.ch and is therefore responsible for handling your personal data responsibly. We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This privacy policy is an integral part of our General Terms and Conditions.
2. Handling of personal and company data
We do not pass your personal data on to third parties unless we are legally obliged to do so, you have consented to it, or they are the service providers named in this privacy policy who work on our behalf. Companies affiliated with Fabware are not considered third parties.
3. Collection and storage of personal data
Personal data is any information that, alone or in combination, relates to an identified or identifiable person, for example your name, your email address or your IP address. We collect personal data when you provide it to us yourself (e.g. through the contact form or by email) and, to a limited extent, automatically when you visit our website, as described in the following sections.
4. General principle
We and the service providers we engage process your personal data only for the purposes set out in this privacy policy. With service providers, we make sure that personal data is anonymised wherever possible, processed only to the extent required by the respective contract and not passed on to third parties.
5. Hosting and server log files
Our website is operated by Vercel Inc., USA. Each time our website is accessed, technically necessary data such as your IP address, the date and time of access, the address requested, the referring page and your browser and operating system are processed and stored for a short time in server log files. We need this data to deliver the website and to ensure its security and stability; it is not combined with other data.
6. Cookies
Our website does not set any cookies of its own and does not store any data on your device for advertising or analytics purposes. When the map on the “About” page is displayed, Google may set cookies (see section 9). You can restrict or delete cookies at any time in your browser settings.
7. Web analytics
We use Vercel Web Analytics by Vercel Inc., USA, to evaluate the use of our website statistically and to improve our offering. No cookies are set and no data is stored on your device. We record the page visited, the referring page, browser, operating system, device type and the country derived from the IP address. Your IP address is not stored. To group the page views of one visit, Vercel derives a hash from the request, which is discarded after 24 hours at the latest; visitors are not recognised across several days or across other websites. We only see the data in aggregated form, and it is not used for advertising. More information: vercel.com/docs/analytics/privacy-policy
8. Contact form
When you write to us using the contact form on our website, your details (email address, first name, last name if provided, and your message) are sent to us through the Formspree service of Formspree, Inc., USA, and stored there. To prevent spam, Formspree may also process technical data such as your IP address. We use your details only to answer your enquiry and delete them once it has been dealt with, unless legal retention obligations apply. You can also contact us directly at any time by email at info@fabware.com. More information: formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy
9. Google Maps
On the “About” page we show a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Ireland, or Google LLC, USA). When the map loads, data such as your IP address is transmitted to Google, and Google may set cookies. We have no influence on how Google processes this data. More information: policies.google.com/privacy
10. Links to social networks
Our website contains plain links to our LinkedIn profile and to profiles of our employees. No social media plug-ins are embedded; data is only transmitted to the respective network when you click such a link. The privacy policy of the respective provider applies to the processing of data on these platforms.
11. Transfer of data abroad
Some of the service providers named above (Vercel, Formspree, Google) are based in the USA or process data there. Such transfers are based on the safeguards provided by these providers, in particular standard contractual clauses or a certification under the Data Privacy Framework.
12. Retention and deletion of data
Fabware retains your personal data for as long as is necessary or appropriate to comply with applicable laws, or for as long as it is needed for the purposes for which it was collected. Fabware deletes personal data as soon as it is no longer needed, subject to the statutory retention obligations under commercial and tax law.
13. Your rights
Within the scope of the applicable data protection law, you have the right at any time to request information about the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, completed or deleted, to object to its processing, to request a restriction of processing and to receive your data in a common format. To do so, please contact us as indicated in section 14. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority, in Switzerland the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).
